SoCCSarSKGen Experience Tour (SEx Tour) Bloggers from all over Philippines visit Tacurong City

Sixteen bloggers from all over Philippines visited Tacurong City and Baras Bird Sanctuary as part of their SoCCSarSKGen Experience Tour (Sex Tour). SoCCSarSKGen Experience Tour is an annual photo blogging safari tour of select (and famous) bloggers from all over Philippines who were given the chance of experiencing the best destination spots in SoCCSarSKGen (South Cotabato, Cotabato City, Saranggani, Sultan Kudarat and General Santos) area. Conceptualized and staged by the fit ‘n fab brothers Avel Manansala ( ) and Orman Manansala (Project O consultants) together with the SoCCSarSKGen Bloggers, South Cotabato News and Tacurong City Online, the SEx Tour aims to promote a positive outlook and balanced social media coverage of  SoCCCSarSKGen’s people, culture and destinations. On it’s fourth edition now and for the first time in the SEx Tour tradition, the photoblogging safari had its Tacurong “swing” with the bloggers experiencing the best in the city of goodwill.

Sixteen bloggers arrived in the city and was warmly met by the members of the Tacurong City Camera Club (who happen to have a photo exhibit ) at the city hall lobby.

The tourists had a warm chat with the city mayor Lina O.  Montilla in her office during their courtesy call. The city mayor, known to be very approachable and engaging with visitors, briefly summed the humble achievements of this city as well as the future plans of the LGU to uplift the tourism industry in the city.

The bloggers were then brought by the city’s tourism officer to Baras Bird Sanctuary where they had their first experience of seeing hundreds of birds, some of them endangered or endemic in a sanctuary. No less than Rey Malana, the sanctuary manager / owner oriented and guided the group as they go around bird watching in the sanctuary.

After the bird watching, the bloggers were then treated to one of the famed food place in Tacurong, VE-JR Exit –one that specializes in and probably has the best African Catfish or “hito” in the whole SoCCSarSKGen Area. Robert Batchar, owner of VE-JR exit welcomed the group and wowed them with their superb “hito” delicacies.
