[Updated] Gawad Kalinga Outbreak “Zombie Apocalypse” 5k /3k Fun Run

Can you finish “alive”?

The Gawad Kalinga Zombie Fun Run is a 5K and 3K fun run/walk to benefit the Child & Youth Development Program of Gawad Kalinga Tacurong. While the course is relatively easy, avoiding the zombies will be a bit more challenging. Each runner will wear a flag around their waist, and will need to use their smarts and agility to avoid the zombies plaguing the course in search of your flags. If you make it through the course with any of your flags left, you’ll finish “alive,” however, if the zombies take all of your flags…you’ll finish the race just like them – undead.

“Zombie Apocalypse”

The race is unofficially timed and will take place on the walking trails around town. Zombies will not give chase, they will be confined to assigned areas.

Pre-registration is P300.00 for both adult runners & zombies and P150.00 for student runners & zombies. Race registration includes your runners bib and flag belt, as well as a singlet for those who registered as runners @ P300.00 and only singlet for those who registered as zombies @ P300.00. Sir Noel, my pleasure to help. And the people of tacurong are interested to join also. (I must apologize though for not coming over and taking picture myself. Circumstances were beyond my control and I hope I can make up next time. GK should be credited for organizing events like this. Helping others should be fun!
