This annual event is open to everyone-tourists, locals, bird watchers and enthusiasts of all ages. The Festival hopes to highlight the importance of birds in the environment, encouraging the participants to take conservation of natural habitats such as the Baras Bird Sanctuary as a personal pledge to wildlife conservation.
To achieve this goal, the organizers will hold an awareness forum and guided bird tours in the Sanctuary.
To make the event even more relevant to a spectrum of participants, there will be a Photo Contest, a Bird Costume Contest, a Coloring Contest.
Unique to this festival is the “Art Attack” -face painting, key holder painting, origami, bottle recycling, coloring, and ball cap making, all themed to bird wildlife conservation ideas.
The festival rates of Php100 for adults and Php80 for students / children are inclusive of entrance fee, bird watching with tour guide, use of kudong (head gear), and access to all Art Attack activities. Those who would only want to visit the Sanctuary without joining the activities will only have to pay the standard entrance fee of Php20.
