Let’s Map Tacurong! Join the upcoming Tacurong Google Mapping Party

Tacurong Online, SoCCSarSKGen Bloggers and Google in cooperation with LGU Tacurong and Notre Dame of Tacurong College, is holding a Google Mapping Session for Tacurong City! Themed “Let’s Map Tacurong!”, this mapUp is scheduled on May 20, 2012, Sunday from 8:00AM to 5:00PM at (a venue which will be announced soon.) the AUDIO-VISUAL ROOM of Notre Dame of Tacurong College, along National Highway Tacurong Isulan Road, Tacurong City.

This will be the first google mapping session in Tacurong City using Google’s Map Maker.

Mapping Party is a gathering where you invite your friends who have laptops to a venue with fast internet connection, and together, with the use of Google Map Maker  and aided by an instructor, map out and name your locality’s streets, roads, highways, establishments, housing, etc.-Avel Manansala, author of Gensantos.com , Lead Convener of Sox Bloggers and Google’s well travelled Geo-Advocate

teach participants the basic knowledge and skills on geo-tagging tourism spots, businesses, precincts, evacuation areas, fire, police, health
 establishments and other points of interests 
inside Tacurong City using 
Google
Map
 Maker

Geo-tagging these points of interests will have great impact tourism, business, security, and health capabilities of Tacurong City.

 or
 professionals)

 in
 mapping
 Tacurong City.

If you want to volunteer to help map out point of interests in Tacurong City, register now by clicking link and filling out the electronic registration form in that link. No registration one week prior to the event means NO Google mapper T-shirt and NO free meals on workshop day!

To avail of this free workshop ,you only need to be physically present with your laptop and if possible, a WIFI dongle of your own (for a better speedier internet connection).
