Where to play badminton in Tacurong

Badminton courts at the city gym is free!

If you haven’t heard it yet, Tacurong is a badminton crazed town. That is if you gauge “badminton craze” in terms of the hours spent by players on court, everyday.

(Updates 29 April 2012: These two private badminton courts no longer exist and the Tacurong City Gym is currently being rehabilitated.)

There are two private badminton courts here in Tacurong city. One is on the third floor of Lagon Building near the city’s round ball area. This converted building have two playing indoor courts, well lighted but without the usual taraflex floor matting. The space is a little bit constricted though. There are no tiangge here so you have to bring your own food stuff and rehydration drinks. The best time to play is in the evening. Inquire ahead of time for reservation before you go there and play.

Cristina Bowling Center has a single playing badminton court is also rented on a per hour basis. It’s another indoor playing court that is well lighted but is non tara flex and with very small court space also. It’s located with other sports facilities (like bowling) so its ideal for quick family fun. It has its own convenience store. Playing here is on reservation and first come first serve basis also.

However if you wanna play with the hard core badminton fanatics, play in the Tacurong City gym. Yes, this basketball turned badminton court houses 4 indoor playing courts and is moderately lighted. The playing courts doesn’t have the tara flex mat common in commercial courts, but this is compensated by a sticky mop up that puts a hard grit your badminton shoes. Above all, playing here is FREE! Just bring your own net and shuttlecocks. It’s best to play here early in the morning and in the evening when every badminton crazed player are here sweating it out.

Now if you want to shed off those fats, try playing badminton in these places.
